The latest purchase follows the company’s previously announced acquisition of 250 BTC. Strategy co-founder Michael Saylor also hinted at another Bitcoin purchase in a Sunday post on X, writing, “We found room for more orange.”
MSTR Sales Finance the Latest Bitcoin Purchase
Strategy primarily financed the acquisition through the sale of its MSTR common stock. During the reporting period, the company sold 140,872 shares, generating approximately $22 million.
The remaining $100,000 was sourced from the company’s USDC cash reserves.

Market activity surrounding the announcement showed MSTR trading near $140 in pre-market dealings, representing a gain of more than 2% at the time of reporting. Despite the short-term increase, the stock had fallen by over 11% during the preceding week.
Strategy Expands STRC Repurchase Authorization to $3 Billion
Alongside its Bitcoin accumulation, Strategy continued buying back STRC preferred shares. The company repurchased approximately 1.94 million shares for $193.1 million during the week.
Its board of directors also increased the total authorized purchase amount for the program from $2 billion to $3 billion. Based on the reported figures, Strategy retained approximately $1.16 billion in available capacity for additional STRC repurchases.

The development comes ahead of an October 28 shareholder vote concerning a proposed change to STRC dividend payments. If approved, the proposal could enable the company to begin making dividend payments daily in November.
STRC Trades Below Its $100 Par Value
TradingView data showed STRC changing hands at approximately $98 in pre-market trading following the buyback announcement. This placed the shares below their $100 par value.
Nevertheless, the preferred stock has recorded a substantial recovery over the previous three months, rising more than 155% from a low near $70, according to the reported market data.
Strategy’s latest moves highlight its continued focus on expanding its Bitcoin reserves while using equity-related financing programs to support its broader capital strategy.
