Solana (SOL) has posted a notable recovery, continuing its recent upward momentum. The cryptocurrency has gained nearly 5% over the past 24 hours, advanced around 15.8% over the last week, and is up more than 8% during the previous two weeks, according to CoinGecko data. The latest move higher comes shortly after the launch of World, a prediction market built on the Solana blockchain.

The new platform is integrated into the Phantom wallet and relies on Chainlink’s oracle network to deliver real-world data for its prediction markets. The launch has generated additional interest within the Solana ecosystem and may have contributed to the token’s recent price strength.
Can the Momentum Continue?
Although the debut of the World Prediction Market may have provided a positive catalyst for Solana, the broader cryptocurrency market has also turned positive. Bitcoin (BTC) has reclaimed the $60,000 level and is approaching $61,000, while several leading digital assets have recorded gains alongside the market leader.

Beyond project-specific developments, macroeconomic conditions are also influencing investor sentiment. The U.S. money supply has expanded at its fastest pace in roughly five years, increasing overall market liquidity. Historically, greater liquidity has benefited higher-risk assets such as cryptocurrencies, while tighter liquidity conditions were among the factors that weighed on digital assets during the 2026 bear market.
However, several economic risks remain. U.S. inflation reached 4.2% in May 2026, prompting the Federal Reserve to leave interest rates unchanged. Some market analysts expect the central bank to implement two rate hikes before the end of the year. If borrowing costs rise further, they could offset the benefits of increased liquidity and place renewed pressure on risk assets, including Solana.
Geopolitical uncertainty is another factor investors are monitoring. Concerns over the possibility of renewed tensions between the United States and Iran continue to linger. Any escalation in the Middle East could drive oil prices higher, potentially fueling inflation and complicating the outlook for financial markets. Under such conditions, cryptocurrencies, including Solana, could face renewed volatility and downside pressure.
