TOKEN 2049, a major international event for the cryptocurrency industry, has delayed its planned 2026 conference in Dubai, moving the gathering to April 2027.
Event organizers said the change comes as ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East create uncertainty for travel, safety planning, and large-scale event logistics.
The Dubai edition of the conference was expected to host thousands of participants, including crypto investors, startup founders, and developers from around the world.
Organizers explained that postponing the event will help ensure the conference can maintain the global turnout and production scale that have become central to the TOKEN 2049 brand.

Regional instability has caused some disruptions in recent months. Iranian drone and missile launches aimed at Gulf states have prompted defensive interceptions, and reports of falling debris have emerged in areas near Dubai.
Air traffic across parts of the Middle East has also experienced temporary interruptions as airlines adjust routes during periods of heightened tension.
Under the revised schedule, TOKEN 2049 Dubai will take place on April 21–22, 2027. Before that, the conference series will host its next event in Singapore in October 2026.
While the physical impact of the conflict on Dubai has been limited, observers say the broader situation could affect perceptions of the region as a stable hub for fintech and international investment.
