Solution for layer-2 scaling after experiencing a significant increase in daily unique active wallets (dUAW) over the past month, Polygon (MATIC) is becoming well-known in the gaming industry.
DappRadar, a platform for blockchain intelligence, reports that Polygon registered 138,081 dUAWs in March, a 53% rise from the figures reported in February.
When Boomland’s Hunters On-Chain launched on its testnet last month, Polygon is currently the second-largest game blockchain. Regarding on-chain decentralized app (DApp) activities, the action role-playing game has now climbed to become one of the top five blockchain games.
“Last month, Polygon, a blockchain formerly well-known for DeFi [decentralized finance] DApps, passed Hive and gained second place. The fact that Polygon is now being recognized as a gaming blockchain is encouraging.
The dUAW of Wax Blockchain (WAXP), which outperforms Polygon by more than 228%, keeps it in first place among gaming blockchains.
With an average of 314,976 unique active wallets per day in March, wax became the gaming blockchain with the highest level of activity. This reflected a drop from the previous month of 8.11%. The data also showed that 66% of the Wax activity was dominated by Alien Worlds.
Despite a decline in on-chain gaming last month, according to DappRadar, gaming still accounts for a sizable portion of DApp activities.
Games will still account for 45.6% of DApp industry activity in Q1 2023, despite an on-chain gaming activity decline of 3.33% in March to 741,567 daily Unique Active Wallets.
