BMW, a German luxury car manufacturer, submits trademark applications for its logo related to NFT and the Metaverse. Mike Kondoudis, a trademark lawyer who reviews Metaverse and NFT trademark applications at the USPTO, released the trademark registrations.
BMW’s trademark applications contain downloadable multimedia items, including images of vehicles, text, audio, and video, all of which have been NFT-authenticated. Additionally, it contains downloadable software like games, apps, and virtual products like cars for Metaverse-style virtual worlds.
In order to be used in the virtual environment, BMW aims to launch online retail store services for virtual vehicles, etc.
Several well-known automakers will take advantage of the Metaverse, including Ferrari and Porsche. It was only a matter of time before BMW joined the fray, what with all these automobile-focused Metaverse projects popping up left, right, and center.
